LCMC institutions have a range of holiday policies. This document details the observed holidays for shared Rize classes, and explains how students should go about ensuring that their college breaks are honored.

Observed Holidays

The following list of holidays are observed in Rize classes. Any live sessions scheduled on these days will be cancelled or rescheduled. Additionally, no assignments will be due on these days.

Fall

• Labor Day - Sept
• Indigenous People’s/Columbus Day - Oct
• Veterans Day - Nov
• Thanksgiving (Full Week) - Nov
  • 14-week classes only

Spring

• Birth of Martin Luther King, Jr. - Jan
• Washington’s Birthday - Feb
• Spring Break - March
  • 14-week classes only
• Easter (Sunday) - Apr

Spring Break

Spring Break will be observed in the first full week of March, as long as that week does not start on a Monday, and applies only to 14-week courses (eg. Spring Break 2023 ran from March 6th - March 12th).

If your home institution’s spring break is at a different time, please follow the vacation policies listed below.

Please note - work will still be due the previous Sunday.
